Music Term 2 Matariki


My Piktochart For Matariki.

What style of music is this/Who inspired them to write it?
Pop and Contemporary R&B
He was inspired by the 1984 song Poi E, which as of 2014 was the only Maori language song to reach the number one on the New Zealand Single Charts, so they wanted to get another Maori song on there as well.

What do you like about this music?
I like how it's in Maori and that it has some of the national anthem in it.
I also like how there's more than one Maori singer.

What do you like about the video?
I like how they're spelling out the word Aotearoa with New Zealand type things.

What do you like about this music?
That it's soft and not too loud and outgoing.

That they didn't do a real music video and it was just themselves singing.

That it's strong and powerful

That it has different people with different personalities and they show themselves.

I like the style its sung in.

I like that it can relate to New Zealand a lot
