Art Week 10
Monday:
On Monday using my series and sequences one which is placed at the top of my folio plan, I used a basic level edit to edit my images and then placed them back onto my folio plan.

To create this effect on my image I played around with the different curves and also selective colors on photopea. Selective colors allowed me to edit the main focus of the image to be lighter and not as vibrant which is what Fiona Pardington does in the artwork above.
Dark background, the main focal points are very light and have warm tones |

Over the Weekend:
During the weekend I took out my camera and decided to recreate Sally Mann's photograph that is on my mood board.
My Recreation |
Also taking inspiration from Sally Mann, I also decided to create an image showing the changes throughout the years. For example, my model was dressed to relate to the vintage days (1940s), then she was dressed to look like the 80s using bright, bold colors and finally she was dressed to relate to nowadays (2020) which I think worked together really well. I took 3 different images and edited them together to make them look as if it was 1 image.

Art Week 9
This week I have been working on planning my first folio board. My theme for art this year is changes throughout the years so I've taken inspiration from my artist models to create plans for my board.
My 3 artist models are Fiona Pardington, Jasmine Togo-Brisby, Sally Mann, and Man Ray.
So far I have planned my series and sequences to fit on my board like this, but as I photograph more photos for my board I may change this to fit better with my other images. |
I have used my artist models to make plans for what I want to be on my board. I think these photographs from my artist models will work really well with inspiration for my theme. For my bottom image plan, I have taken inspiration from Sally Man's “Untitled, At Twelve Series (Jenny and the Bedspread) 1984”. I think the idea of having a person relating back to the olden days, the 80s, and modern while doing the washing will show the changes throughout the years really well.
Over the weekend I'm planning on taking the images of my plan so that I can place them on my folio plan to see how they look and what I need to change.
