Art (Photography) Photocopy Prints

Art Photography Photocopy Prints

In art photography we were played around with different objects and compositions to create different designs. We started by collecting different plants and flowers and placed them in random corners of the page. This created different designs even when we used the same objects creating different compositions. We also played around with different colours. We did some in a grey tone and some in colours to see what we liked better. I think the grey tone looks better on the image with the crabs, whereas I feel like colour looks better on photo 6.

We also tried doing a symmetrical (piece 8).

  1. Hi Alayna

I work for Manaiakalani as their Secondary Specialist.
I like your photos. It's quite a challenge to make ordinary objects look interesting and I think you've achieved that. Personally, I prefer the colour shots, especially numbers 7 and 8. I wonder if you tried enhancing the contrast on the black and whites to make the objects pop a bit more, how that would look.

Have you decided on a theme Alayna?
Keep up the good work, you've got a good eye for design 😊

    1. Thank You! We are going to be playing around with the contrast and invert the colours to see how they look. I haven't decided on a theme yet, but I have a few ideas. :)

  2. Kia Ora Alayna,
The order of your series is the opposite of Chloe's. They are well composed and also distinct from one another. The negative space is most interesting in works 1-4. I like the way the subject matter touches the edges and creates tension and enclosed shapes. The stems and little crabs relate well in Works 1 and 2 and the arrangement keeps our attention focused in the area.
