Level 1 Art - What is my art Kaupapa?

This year in art I will be focusing on animal endangerment as my Kaupapa. For my subject matter im going to base it around climate change.

I have chosen this theme as I really love animals and I think its important to keep them safe. I think animals are really important to our Earth.

The media I will work with are Paint, Magazine art and possibly photography.

The artists I have selected for 1.1 are: Robyn Kahukiwa & Sofia Minson from List one. From list two are: Shepard Fairey & Claude Monet.

My Mood-board

My artist focus for 1.2 and 1.4: I really like Sofia Minson because I like the way she uses the flat, patterned backgrounds.

My Theme:
I really like my theme because of the way I love animals. I think I can use this theme to spread awareness of climate change.

Ideas of drawings I could use

Planning my theme

I want to use fire, animals, nature as my subject matter. I want to use these because I think it can help me tell a story of my art and it relates to climate change.
